FjordPhyto presented to Scripps Institution of Oceanography

Allison Lee presents FjordPhyto as her Capstone for the Master of Advanced Studies in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. A huge shout out to her committee members Dr. Maria Vernet (Chair), Dr. George Watters, and the CMBC department for their guidance in developing the scientific goals. And thanks to everyone in the Antarctic tourism industry who provided advice, connections, and enthusiasm to make this project a reality!

The MAS MBC is a unique program that provides coursework in marine and climate science, ecology, law and policy, economics, and environmental justice. Students are also given opportunities for practical training in survey design and analysis, Marine GIS, negotiation, public speaking and a variety of other tangible communication tools, including filmmaking.
